Maintenance service includes disassembly, inspection, and cleaning of the instrument. Additionally, corks, pads, and tenon wrappings are replaced as necessary, play in the key-work and linkages is adjusted, and the mechanism is lubricated.

Charges are $90/hour and the complete maintenance service takes between 3 to 8 hours. For in-person appointments, plan to stay in Port Townsend for 5 hours, if servicing at yearly intervals, and 8 hours if your maintenance appointments are less frequent.
